Science of Weight Loss and Calorie Chart

Caloric Burning Equivalents Per 50-Minute Session

Losing Weight is quite simple... you simply need to burn more calories that you consume. Unused calories are stored as fat. Fat storage areas on women are primarily the thighs, buttocks, stomach, breasts and upper arms.

Stored fat is known as "cold fat" as blood circulation is extremely low in fat storage areas. When we work out, our muscles and vital organs get the majority of our blood flow. It is virtually impossible to "work off" fat thru exercise. Limited blood circulation results in what is known as 'cold spots' where the fat hardens and over time leads to cellulite. The Formostar Body wrap reverses this situation by applying infrared heat to the body.

Infrared rays gently heat the body from the inside out to get underneath the fat tissue. Blood flow is increased over 300% in the 'cold spots' where fat tissue resides. Bringing blood back into the areas that have restricted blood flow causes the metabolism rate to rise. Infrared heat softens the fat/cellulite tissue, breaks it up, and releases it back to the blood stream to be burned up as energy.

What is a Calorie?

A calorie is a measure of energy expenditure. The calories referred to in diet and exercise, are kilocalories (kcal), 1000 of the calories referred to in science labs for measuring chemical reactions. A pound of fat stores 3500 calories (kcal). To lose half a kilo of fat a week a person must eat approximately 500 fewer calories (kcal) per day than he/she expends. The range of daily calorie burning is from 1600 for a sedentary woman or older people, to 2800 for active men, very active women and teenage boys.

You can burn up to 900 to 1400 calories or more in just one 50 minute session. Your body will burn off those calories through the day. The best of all is that the inch loss from infrared is permanent.

The Infrared Body Wrap may burn up to 900 to 1400 calories per 50 minute wrap session. That is why the system is so effective. When using the Infrared Body Wrap, you are wrapped right over soft cotton clothing eliminating any awkwardness of wrapping naked as required by other body wraps. We recommend coming in wearing a cotton long sleeved t-shirt and loose cotton sweats or jeans.
